Giveaway Terms & Conditions

1. Who runs a giveaway

A giveaway is run by the seller hosting the show (the “Host”). The Host chooses the item, starts the giveaway and ends it, and is responsible for sending the prize. Gimme provides the tools, draws the winner and records the winner’s order, but does not give the prize unless Gimme is named as the seller.

2. Entering is free

No purchase or payment is needed to enter or to win. Buying something in the show does not change your chances.

3. How to enter

You enter in the Gimme mobile app while the giveaway is running. Entering follows the Host. You can unfollow the Host afterwards, and your entry still stands.

Each person has one entry in each giveaway, however many times they tap. Entering through more than one account is not allowed.

4. Who can enter and win

You need a Gimme account in good standing that meets the eligibility rules in our Terms of Service, and a delivery address saved on it, because the prize is posted to you. The Host cannot enter their own giveaway. An account that is banned, or that has been removed from the show, cannot enter or win.

5. How the winner is chosen

When the Host ends the giveaway, Gimme’s server draws one winner at random from the entrants who can win. Every one of them has the same chance. The draw is made on our server, not on anybody’s screen: the reel everyone in the show sees turning shows a result that has already been drawn, and it lands on the same name for everyone.

If nobody who entered can win, there is no winner, and the item goes back into the Host’s stock.

6. The prize

The prize is the item shown in the giveaway, as the Host describes it. There is no cash alternative, and the prize cannot be exchanged or passed to somebody else. The Host posts it and pays the postage. The winner pays nothing.

7. Delivery

The winner’s order appears in their orders at no cost, and the Host posts the prize to the delivery address saved on the winner’s account. Check that your address is right before you enter. If the prize does not arrive, or is not as described, open a case from the order in your orders, as you would for any order.

8. What other people see

The reel everyone in the show sees turns through the display names of some of the people who entered, and lands on the winner’s, which is then shown to everyone in the show. The Host sees the display names of everyone who entered. Nothing else about you is shown to other viewers. The Host receives the winner’s delivery address to post the prize, as with any order.

9. When a giveaway does not finish

If the show ends before the giveaway is drawn, the giveaway is cancelled without a winner. An account banned for fraud, abuse or a breach of our Terms of Service before the draw cannot win it.

10. The Host’s responsibilities

The Host must own the prize, describe it accurately, send it promptly, and follow any law that applies to giveaways and prize promotions where they are.
